She has over a decade of experience in litigation, legal research, policy and consulting for clients and organizations in Canada and abroad including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Central America, Asia, and Africa.
Ms. Chaves Paz has experience working with clients from different legal systems. This includes drafting legal norms for the legislative branch in Bosnia & Herzegovina, working with governments and NGOs to create new criminals laws on human trafficking in Latin America, advising clients on labour issues in Argentina & Canada, and advising governments and business on how to comply with ethical & international norms.
She has law degrees from McGill University, American University in Washington D.C., and Catholic University in Buenos Aires, and is a member of the Canadian, Ontario and Buenos Aires Bar Associations.
Ms. Chaves Paz has been appointed as a Board Director of the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association. She is also a lawyer with Flex Legal Network, a network of experienced freelance lawyers providing quality outsourced legal services to sole practitioners, law firms, and in-house legal departments.
